Mosaic Weekend Workshops with Mosaicist Claudia Williams

Start on your creative journey by completing a “Discovering Mosaics” weekend workshop. Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Learn the basic technique of cutting ceramic mosaic tiles .

We will start the weekend with safety, followed by cutting techniques, different mosaic methods, materials, grouting and tools .

No experience is necessary, just a love of mosaics.

Students will complete their own mosaic masterpiece either in the form of a terracotta bird bowl for their garden, approx 40cm in size, or a recycled material garden sculpture, using the direct method, based on their own design. Some designs are available at my studio if you are having trouble with your own design.

All materials and hire of tools are included in the basic workshop price of $150.00 per person. Contact Claudia for more details.

Coffee and tea supplied, please bring your own lunch. We will be stopping for lunch, between 12.30 to 1pm, to keep our creative energy flowing.

Please wear old clothes and covered shoes, as being creative can sometimes be messy.
